An oil and gas landman is a member of the oil and gas industry that deals primarily with the acquisition, divestiture, maintenance and negotiations of public and private mineral rights of the properties used in the development of energy resources in the United States.

Sukhothai Project : Thailand Oil Exploration
Companies like Chevron, Mitsubishi, and Moeco that are in the oil and gas industry are concentrating their basics on oil and gas exploration in the northern part of Thailand with special attention to the province of Sukhothai.
Sukhothai province which is situated in Ban Suan Thailand confirmed enormous amounts of reserved mineral resources such as oil that have a producing rate of 18,000 -20,000 barrels per day (BOPD). Example: Chevron had drilled one well in the northern section of Thailand and had encountered billions of cubic feet of gas.
Black Diamond Development and Exploration, a Thailand corporation founded by Mr. Ronald Shane Flynn, was able to negotiate and acquire properties and mineral rights in the middle of the most active and successful drilling areas in Northern Thailand. One of the fourteen Black Diamond wells has a confirmed Test Production of 8,000 barrels of oil per day with two well bores that have a bottom hole pressure of above 5,600 PSI.
